An Elegant, Intimate Country Retreat

Our nineteenth century inn is set back in a wooded residential area. The large shaded yard, breezy porch and peaceful garden terrace are favorite spots for relaxing in nice weather, while spacious common areas inside the inn are a cozy respite. Our accommodations combine traditional Victorian ambiance with all the modern touches you expect from a luxury bed and breakfast. Meticulous restoration has left original details intact and coordinated fabrics and period furnishings bring it all together.

Drift away to dream in one of our three large guest rooms, each with queen-size sleeping accommodations appointed with Pacific Coast feather down pillows and comforters, plush Turkish robes and fresh flowers. Each of our private baths include either an oversized tub, walk-in shower or tub-shower combination and premium bath accessesories such as Roger Gallet and Molton Brown. Snacks, tea, coffee, cold drinks and guest refrigerator are available at the wet bar twenty four hours a day.

After a restful sleep, wake up to our relaxing gourmet breakfast in the conservatory. Freshly baked muffins, coffee cake, croissants, quiche and other specialty dishes are typical fare. Cereal, fruit and yogurt are always available with various fruit juices, coffees and teas.

The Inn at Twaalfskill is within walking distance of the hamlet of Highland and less than one mile from the magnificent Hudson River and the area offers many opportunities for shopping, hiking, theater, and dining. Neighboring towns are known for their historic districts, award-winning restaurants, specialty shops, galleries, wineries and lighthouses.

Our collection of menus and brochures will provide a good starting place as you decide how to spend the day. The Innkeeper has recently returned to her hometown of Highland after much travel and is happy to offer directions and information.
